This workshop is aimed primarily at potential SALT users from the European partnership (Goettingen, Poland and the UK), although anyone from the SALT partrners are welcome to attend. Members of the SSWG and Board will also be present.
The meeting will be similar in style to the successful workshop held in South Africa in Oct 2007, aimed at updating the status of SALT and its instruments, science results to date, demonstrating software tools, etc. It is aimed at faculty, postdocs and graduate students.
One aspect of the workshop will be a discussion of future directions with SALT, specifically the "White Paper" on SALT development, the second generation instruments, future science drivers, etc.
